Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage is a 2021 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Venom, produced by Marvel and Tencent pictures. Distributed by Sony Pictures, it is the second film in Sony’s spider-man universe and a sequel to Venom (2018). Venom 2 movie summary :-
In the film, Addy Brock struggles to live his life with Venom while serial killer Cletus Kasady(Harrelson) escapes from prison after taking the form of Carnage, a chaotic spawn of Venom. Venom was intended to usher in a new shared universe, and the sequel begins during the making of the first film.
Harrelson was cast acting as Kasady at the end of Venom, intended to become the villain Carnage in the sequel. Official work on the sequel started in January 2019. Andy Serkis was hired as director in August, partly due to his experience working with CGI and motion-capture techniques, which were an important part of portraying Venom and Carnage in the film.
The shooting of the film took place from November 2019 to February 2020 at Leavesden Studios in England. The title of the film was announced in April 2020. The film was primarily inspired by the comic book story “Maximum Carnage” (1993) and the 1994 Spider-Man animated series story Ark the Venom Saga (1996).

Venom 2 Plot and story :-
In 1996, young Cletus Kasady sees helplessly that his love, Francis Barison, has been moved from the St. Estate Home for Unwanted Children to the Ravencraft Institute. On the way, she uses the power of her sonic screams to escape and attacks young police officer Patrick Mulligan. He shoots Barrison in the eye and his scream hurts his ear. Unbeknownst to Mulligan, who believes he killed him, Barrison is taken to the facility, which is harsh against his powers.
In the present day, Mulligan, now a detective, contacts Addy Brock to talk to serial killer Kasady, who refuses to talk to anyone other than Brock after his interview a year earlier. After Kasady’s interview, Addy Brock(Venom) finds out where Kasady has hidden the victims’ bodies.
Cletus Kasady(Carnage) , who is sentenced to lethal injection, invites Brock to attend his execution. However, Venom is instigated to attack Cassady through an insult to Brock. Cassady bites Brock’s hand, swallowing a small portion of the symbiote. Back home, Venom, wanting more freedom to eat people, has an argument with Brock, and the two fight until the symbiote is separated from his body; They go their separate ways.
Cletus Kasady’s sentence fails and Carnage emerges from him. Carnage kills all the staff present in the prison and frees all the prisoners. After that Cletus Kasady goes to rescue his love Barryson from Ravencraft . On the other hand, Mulligan calls Brock(Venom) and informs about the incident.
Mulligan suspects Addy Brock and takes him to the police station to be questioned. Addy Brock doesn’t want to tell Mulligan anything and he contacts Weing as his lawyer. Addy Brock reveals that Venom has separated from him. Weighing finds Venom and convinces him to forgive Brock. Addy Brock and Venom are reunited.
Kasady takes Mulligan hostage, and Barryson captures Weing after failing to find Brock. Barryson informs Lewis of Weying’s whereabouts, and he passes it on to Brock. Kasady and Barryson plan to get married at a church, where Venom appears and fights Carnage. Barryson kills Mulligan. Venom holds his grip against his spawn, but is overpowered by Carnage, and later decides to kill Weing over the cathedral.
Venom persuades Barryson to use his powers, causing the church incident to fall on her, and she dies. In the climax, there is a fierce battle between Venom and Carnage, in which Venom beheads Carnage. In the post credit scene, Venom sees Spider-Man on TV.
