Wich MCU vets return for the big Season 1 finale of the animated series?
Marvel Studios Series “Marvel What If” The first season finale is available to stream on Disney+, and it certainly has some big implications for the future of the MCU.
As always, the animated show — Marvel’s first — revived some MCU icons, but it also brought some new voices to the characters fans know and love. This week’s roster was particularly large, so “what if?” Finale voice cast?
Episode 9, titled “What If… The Watcher Broke His Oath?” Episode 8 follows the events of Ultron who not only fulfills his plan and captures Vision’s body, but all the Infinity Stones. And decided to destroy the whole multiverse.
As a result, The Watcher breaks his vow to never interfere and brings together heroes from different universes to form the Guardians of the Multiverse, with the aim of stopping Ultron once and for all.
Members of this team included Captain Carter, Thor, Star-Lord T’Challa, Killmonger, Gamora and Doctor Strange.
“What if… Thor was the only child?” US The first season finale had perhaps the biggest cast of returnees. Jeffrey Wright, as always, was the series’ narrator, The Watcher. But of course, “What if…?” Be sure to bring back more fan favorites.
And apparently, there were some OGs who called it “What if…?” Didn’t return for it, so new voice actors took his place. They included:
Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow – Lake Belpeter Quill – Brian T. Delaney Tony Stark / Iron Man – Mick Wingert Gamora – Cynthia McWilliams Shuri – Ozyoma Akagha Ultron / Ultron Centrise – Ross Marquand
This episode is called “What If?” Gamora’s first appearance in 2011 and continued a strange trend in which “Guardians of the Galaxy” actors did not reprise their roles as voice actors in the series, as Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista were replaced in previous episodes.
This is probably due to their contracts not being fulfilled in time for recording, as all these artists are returning for the live-action sequel “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”.
Despite this, the changed actors did a good job, and it’s nice to see Gamora in action again.
